[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 52, s. 1993, December 13, 1993 ]
COVERAGE OF THE CENTRALIZED PDOS
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 18, Series of 1993 which provides for centralized pre-departure orientation seminar (PDOS) for disadvantaged workers at the POEA, household workers and other related workers in the service sector bound for Brunei, Middle East and Africa, shall be covered by the centralized PDOS effective 07 February 1994. The Middle Eastern and African countries, include among others, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Syria, UAE, and Yemen.
Only PDOS certificates of attendance issued jointly by POEA and the accredited NGOs shall be valid for contracts processing and presentation at the Labor Assistance Center (LAC) when this policy takes effect.
Agencies concerned should secure the PDOS schedule for their workers at the POEA-Welfare and Employment Office.
