EXPORTATION OF MARBLE BLOCKS



Attached is the letter* dated December 1, 1999 of Director Alberto G. Jasareno of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, DENR, Regional Office No. III informing this Bureau that reports reaching his office that marble blocks coming from Bulacan are being exported to other countries, allegedly using a fake Ore transport Permit. It further informs that the last time their office issued an Ore Transport Permit covering marble blocks, pursuant to Section 117, DENR Administrative Order No. 96-40, otherwise known as the Philippine Mining Act of 1995, was on October 21, 1998 in the name of Rosemoor Mining & Development Corporation which expired on November 21, 1998.

As stated in the said letter, any Ore Transport Permit being used supposedly issued by the Mines & Geosciences Bureau, DENR, Regional Office No. III after November 21, 1998 is null and void.

The Office mentioned above will furnish this Bureau with a copy of Ore Transoport Permit issued after November 21, 1998.
