GRANTING AUTHORITY TO BUREAU OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY TO ISSUE IMPORT PERMIT FOR FEEDS AND FEED INGREDIENTS



In order to simplify the importation procedure, the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) is hereby authorized to issue import permit for all feeds which do not contain corn and corn substitutes and feed ingredients falling under any of the following:
Antibiotics Feed Coccidiostats/
Probiotics Coccidiocides
Milk Replacer Anthelmintic
Growth Promotant Feed Flavors/Feed
Antioxidant Attractants
Anti-Malarial Synthetic Amino
Feed Pigmenter Acids
Anti-Protozoan Vitamin/Mineral
Mold Inhibitors Premixes
Feed Premixes Feed Supplements/
Additives
The import permit and clearance if issued shall be valid for the specific importation applied for and for a period of sixty (60) days from date of issue.

Application for the issuance of an import permit may be secured from the BAI in Quezon City upon the submission of the following:

1. Labels, Product Description, Brochure/Catalogue, Xerox copy of pro-forma invoice indicating guaranteed chemical analysis and ingredients used for each product intended for importation.

2. Reports of importation submitted should be properly supported by a xerox copy of the Letter of Credit (LC) issued by the Central Bank of the Philippines, Manila or other authorized commercial banks, and the Bill of Lading.

3. Xerox copy of FDA registration/approval of feed additives, feed supplements, and vitamin mineral premixes from the principal manufacturer.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
