(NAR) VOL. 6 NO. 2 / APRIL - JUNE 1995

[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 21 S. 1995, March 30, 1995 ]

LAC'S FINAL CHECK OF PERFORMING ARTISTS' DOCUMENTS BEFORE DEPARTURE

To facilitate the departure of your Performing Artists (PAs), you are required to advise them to report to the Labor Assistance Center (LAC) at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure to enable our LAC staff to check their document thoroughly.

The PAs should include the following among the documents that will be shown at the LAC:

a. booking contract/confirmation
b. approved exemption when the group cannot meet the minimum number of talents
c. exit clearance for those processed on or before December 31, 1994

As a general principle, the LAC will use the booking confirmation as the basis for the final check at the airport. Any deviation on the membership of the dance group should have prior approval by the Employment Contracts Processing Branch (ECPB).

For strict compliance.

Adopted: 30 Mar. 1995
