IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES OF JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 01
1.0 The House of representatives and the Senate issued Joint
Resolution No. 01 to extend the availability of the 1998 appropriation
for maintenance and other operating expenses and capital outlays to
December 31, 2000, amending for the purpose Section 62 of R.A. No. 8522,
the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 1998.
2.0 For this purpose, the following guidelines shall be observed.
2.1 Agencies can obligate until December 31, 2000, all allotment released in CY 1999 for maintenance and other operating expenses and capital outlays, chargeable against the 1998 appropriation previously valid for obligation until December 31, 1999 only.
2.2 Balances of CY 1998 Appropriations for maintenance and other operating expenses and capital outlays shall be available for release during the year and valid for obligation until December 31, 2000.
3.0 These guidelines shall take effect immediately.
