(NAR) VOL. 7 NO. 1 / JANUARY-MARCH 1996

[ BC MEMORANDUM, March 01, 1996 ]

APPLICATION TO OPERATE AND ESTABLISH A CUSTOMS BONDED WAREHOUSE AND FOR ACCREDITATION AS MEMBER/S IN COMMON CUSTOM BONDED WAREHOUSE

Effective immediately, the Memorandum dated 22 August 1994 requiring the filing of all applications to operate and establish a Customs Bonded Warehouse (CBW) with the Office of the Commissioner is hereby recalled.

Accordingly, all applications for the establishment of CBW and accreditation as member in common CBW must now be filed with the operating division concerned in the Port of Manila or its equivalent unit in other collection districts.

For control purposes and to update the Bureau computer file of CBWs, the Collector of Customs must furnish the Office of the Commissioner (Attention: Special Assistant for Bonded Warehouse Operations) copy of the duly processed application form (see attached format*) for each application the Collector of Customs endorsed to the Deputy Commissioner for Assessment and Operations for approval.

Furthermore, clearance from this Office seeking permission to transfer the initial shipment to the newly approved CBW/accredited member is no longer necessary.

For your information and guidance.

Adopted: 1 Mar. 1996

(SGD.) GUILLERMO L. PARAYNO, JR.
Commissioner
