[ DOH QUARANTINE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 1, January 14, 1948 ]

DESIGNATION OF A NEW QUARANTINE ANCHORAGE IN MANILA HARBOR



Pursuant to the provisions of Section (79 (B) of the Revised Administrative Code and Section 7 of Republic Act No. 123, there are designated hereunder the boundaries of a new quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor and the rules and regulations covering the use of such anchorage, are hereby promulgated for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1.  Boundaries — A new quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor is hereby designated, the boundaries of which are as follows: Beginning at the Manila Outer Harbor Lighted Buoy 1, approximate position latitude 14-33-09 N., longitude 120-54-04-E., thence 0° true 2360 yards to approximate position latitude 14-34-23 N., longitude 120-54-00 E., thence on a range of 76°24' true, CUSTOMSHOUSE-CITY HALL TOWERS 4000 yards to approximate position latitude 14-34-50 N., longitude 120-56-00 E., thence 180° true 1190 yards to approximate position latitude 14-34-14 N., longitude 120-56-00 E., thence 242°30 true 4440 yards to the Manila Outer Harbor Lighted Buoy 1 at the point of commencement.

2.  Rules and Regulations

a.       All vessels subject to quarantine inspection shall drop anchor within the limits of this anchorage and await quarantine inspection.

b.       Any vessel subject to quarantine inspection anchoring In an area in the Manila Harbor outside the quarantine anchorage may not be cleared from quarantine until such vessel proceed within the limits of the anchorage.

c.       A vessel subject to quarantine may not be allowed to leave the quarantine anchorage until given a pratique by the Quarantine Officer.
