VISA UPON APPROVAL (FURTHER AMENDING MEMORANDUM ORDERS NOS. ADD-01-060 & ADD-02-002, AS WELL AS IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS NO. ADD-01-060A)
Pursuant to the request dated 21 February 2002 of Chairman Antonio I. Basilio of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office and the approval of Her Excellency, Gloria-Macapagal-Arroyo, President of the Republic of the Philippines, to clarify the phrase “Chinese Nationals” as mentioned in the above-stated Orders and Implementing Rules and Regulations, the following is hereby amended and clarified:
“Chinese Nationals”, as used in the Visa Upon Arrival privilege, shall mean holders of People’s Republic of China (PROC) passports only.
All inconsistent provisions of the above-stated Orders and Implementing Rules and Regulations are hereby amended accordingly.
The Chief of the Immigration Regulation Division shall immediately formulate regulations to effectively implement this Memorandum Order and submit the same to the Office of the Commissioner for approval.
