BEHAVIOR OF SEAFARERS TRANSACTING WITH THE FLAG ADMINISTRATION
This is to advise all concerned that the Maritime Industry Authority as Flag Administration officially adopts the following policies in its evaluation of any application for issuance of seafarer-related documents:
1. MARINA — issued seafarer documents are safety certificates attesting to the holders qualification and competence to render sea service.
2. Any seafarer who conducts himself in an inappropriate manner (i.e unruly, arrogant, disrespectful, disobedient)may be declared unfit for service and be disqualified from issuance of seafarer-related documents after giving him an opportunity to be heard.
3. Any misbehavior/misconduct shall be reported directly to the undersigned. An incident report shall be prepared indicating the nature of the incident, people involved, and when and where it occurred, to be attested by witnesses, if any.
