[ LFTRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2000-002, January 28, 2000 ]

TAXI COLOR

On June 28, 1999, the Board issued Memorandum Circular No. 99-012 prescribing a common color for all vehicles registered as “Taxis or Mega Taxis” for better control and identification.

In order to have a uniform compliance with the said Memo. Circular, the Board hereby deletes as far as Paragraph 2 is concerned the portion regarding Sale and Transfer, and Dropping and Substitution, and the same to read as follows:

“Accordingly, effective January 1, 2000, all taxi and mega taxi units shall be color WHITE. All units subject for extension of validity and new application as of said date must conform with the above color. Taxi or Mega Taxi units with subsisting franchises, however as of January 1, 2000, may still be allowed to retain their current colors. Big fleets (50 units and above) owned by a single operator may, likewise, retain their original color, even if it is not white, so long as there is only one color duly approved by the Board.”

All issuances, or parts thereof, inconsistent herewith are hereby modified accordingly, superseded/revoked.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
