EXTENSION/MODIFICATION OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED WLL FREQUENCY IN THE 3.5 GHZ BAND



Whereas, pursuant to Rule 600 of MC 8-9-95, Implementing Rules and Regulations on RA 7925, the radio spectrum allocation and assignment shall be subject to review in the interest of public service and in order to keep pace with the development in the wireless technology with the end in view of insuring wider access to the limited radio spectrum and the use of cost effective technology;

Whereas, the Commission is in receipt of numerous applications for WLL utilizing the 3.5 Ghz band but cannot be accommodated due to the limited radio frequency allocation, among others;

Whereas, the Commission, after technical evaluation found that the present allocation in the 3.5 Ghz band can be extend to accommodate the demand;

The National Telecommunications Commission, pursuant to RA 7925 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, EO 546 series of 1979 and Act No. 3846 as amended, hereby extends/modifies the previously allocated 3.5 Ghz band for WLL as follows:

3410 — 3580 Mhz (Per M.C. No.: 20-11-98)
to
3400 — 3590 Mhz
