[ SRA ORDER NO. 2-B, October 23, 1998 ]

ALLOWING THE PARTICIPATION OF HOMELESS "A" OR U.S. QUOTA SUGAR IN THE 1997-98 QUOTA ALLOCATION



WHEREAS, to ensure that there is enough supply of sugar to fill up the U.S. Sugar Quota Allocation for quota Year 1997-98, there is a need to revoke/repeal paragraph 2 Section 2 of Sugar Order No. 10 dated May 23, 1997 covering export sugar produced from September 1 1996 to June 15, 1997 which were declared homeless for failure to export the same within the deadline set therein.

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. All outstanding "A" or U.S. Quota Sugar produced during the crop year 1996 97 and which were declared homeless under par. 2 of Section 2 of Sugar Order No. 10 dated May 23, 1997 are hereby allowed to participate in the export shipment for the 1997-98 U.S. Quota Allocation.

SECTION 2. This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 3. The provisions of the abovementioned Sugar Order No. 10 Circular Letters and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order are hereby amended modified or revoked accordingly.
