AMENDMENT TO GTEB MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 00-01 REGARDING RE-ACCREDITATION OF GARMENT-MANUFACTURERS-EXPORTERS WITH THE GTEB
The Board in its meeting of 15 February 2000 approved the following amendment to provisions 4 and 5 of GTEB Memorandum Order No 00-01 dated 14 January 2000 in order to ensure that there are indeed re-investments in manufacturing especially for EQ holders in the critical category.
1. Downgrading of EQ award/s to CEA in 2001 in the event that firm fails to comply with the 60% in-house production requirement (provision #4) and/or with its submitted undertaking (provision #5); and
2. Forfeiture in the succeeding year (2002) foe continued non-compliance with the requirements of the re-accreditation program.
