[ NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 4-3-96, March 04, 1996 ]

OPERATION OF SPREAD SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY RADIOS WITHIN THE BANDS 915-928 MHZ, 2400-2483.5 MHZ AND 5725-5850.0 MHZ



Pursuant to Act 3846 as amended, the existing radio laws and to address the requirement of radio communication services using Spread Spectrum Technology, the frequency bands 915-928 Mhz, 2400-2483.5 Mhz and 5725-5850.0 Mhz maybe used on a secondary, non-priority and non-interference basis.

The output power of each station shall not exceed one (1) watt effective radiated power (ERP). Operation of these radios are subject to special licensing guidelines.

This circular shall take effect immediately and it supersedes any circular, order of instruction or part thereof which is inconsistent herewith.
