[ KKP NOTICE, May 23, 2000 ]

AMENDMENTS TO THE RULE ON UNLICENSED GROOMS AND JOCKEYS HELPERS



Please be informed that the PHILRACOM Board in its meeting held on May 19, 2000 resolved to amend Section 110 Paragraph 9 of Horse Racing Rules and Regulations, to wit:

SECTION 110.  ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS BY HORSEOWNERS OR TRAINERS —

1.    x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;

       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
8.    x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;

9.    trainers of participating horses being brought to the track by grooms not duly registered with the PHILRACOM, shall be penalized as follows:

1st offense

fine P100.00

2nd offense

fine P200.00

3rd offense

suspension of all horses under his trainership and shall not be allowed to participate without further order or clearance from the PHILRACOM.

Section 110 Paragraph 9, will now read as follows:

SECTION 110   ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS BY HORSEOWNERS OR TRAINERS

fine P500.00

2nd offense

fine P1,000.00

3rd offense

suspension of all horses under his trainership and shall not be allowed to participate without further order or clearance from the PHILRACOM.

Likewise, the Board hereby resolved to amend by addition Section 109 Paragraph 16 and Impose the same penalty to the Jockeys whose helpers are not duly registered with the PHILRACOM to wit:

SECTION 109.  ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS BY JOCKEYS

1.    x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
2.    x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
15.  x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
16.  for unruly behavior and conduct of his helper/s, by a fine of Two Hundred Pesos      (P200.00)

Section 109 Paragraph 16, will now read as follows:

SECTION 109.  ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS BY JOCKEYS —

2.    x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
       x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
15.  x        x          x          x          x          x          x          x;
16.  for unruly behavior and conduct of his helper/s, by a fine of Two Hundred Pesos      (P200.00)

a.    jockeys participating in races whose helpers are not duly registered with the PHILRACOM, shall be penalized as follows:

1st offense

fine P500.00

2nd offense

fine P1,000.00

3rd offense

suspension of license and shall not be allowed to participate in races without further order or clearance from the PHILRACOM.

This rules shall take effect immediately.
