[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 90-008, March 19, 1990 ]

WRITTEN OPPOSITIONS TO APPLICATIONS FOR CPCs TO OPERATE BUS SERVICES



To determine the basis and merit of oppositions to applications for certificate of public convenience to operate airconditioned and regular bus services and oppositions to applications for additional airconditioned and regular units on already authorized lines, the following must be indicated in the written oppositions to said applications:

1.       the case number of the certificate of public convenience authorizing the line/route of the oppositor alleged to be adversely affected by the proposed bus service;

2.       the date the said bus service was authorized under the CPC and the number of units therein authorized;

3.       if the oppositor is not adversely affected by the entire length of the line/route applied for, the distance in kilometers of the oppositor's line/route affected by the proposed bus service;

In addition to the above data, the written opposition which should be verified under oath by the General Manager or Operations Manager of the operator opposing the application should state that the bus service authorized under the oppositor's certificate of public convenience alleged to be adversely affected is being operated by the oppositor.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect on April 2 1990 without prejudice to the Board requiring written oppositions already filed as of the date of issuance of this circular to be amended to indicate the forgoing data.
