DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY TO REGIONAL DIRECTORS TO HEAR AND DECIDE PETITIONS FOR REDUCTION OF FARE WITHIN THEIR TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-019, August 04, 2004 ]

PROVIDING EXEMPTIONS FROM MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-009 (IMPLEMENTING PARAGRAPH C SECTION 5 OF EXECUTIVE ORDER 202-SETTING THE MINIMUM FARE BENCHMARK OF FIRST FOUR (4) KILOMETERS FROM FIVE (5) KILOMETERS)



In view of the trend for LTFRB Regional Offices to set Minimum Fare Benchmarks based on the Petitions of local Transport Organizations and the peculiar nature of land transportation systems at the regional level, this BOARD hereby grants exemptions and authorizes LTFRB Regional Offices, on a case-to-case basis, to set minimum fare benchmarks other than the established four (4) kilometers as provided under Memorandum Circular No. 2004-009.

This Memorandum Circular modifies and/or supersedes any and all decisions and/or issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
