[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-024, August 17, 2004 ]

REGISTRATION OF BRAND NEW UNITS WITH THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) PRIOR TO THE FILING OF ANY APPLICATION WITH THE BOARD



Pursuant to the regulatory powers of the Board to issue, amend, revise, suspend and/or cancel Certificates of Public Convenience or permits authorizing the operation of public land transportation services using motorized vehicles, and to prescribe the appropriate terms and conditions therefor, all petitioners/applicants of CPC with brand new units proposed for operation are hereby ordered to register first their units with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and secure the corresponding plate numbers.  The Board shall not act upon Applications/Petitions with unregistered units.

All other issuances or parts hereof which are inconsistent herewith, are therefore modified or superseded accordingly.

This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.
