[ PRC RESOLUTION NO. 2000-666, S. OF 2000, June 23, 2000 ]

PRESCRIBING THE RATE OF FEE TO BE CHARGED AND COLLECTED FOR THE ISSUANCE TO A PERSON OF A CERTIFICATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2000-653, S. OF 2000



WHEREAS, the Professional Regulation Commission in its Resolution No. 2000-653, Series of 2000, authorized the issuance of a certificate reduced to the size of an identification card attesting to his/her having passed the licensure examination of his/her profession.

WHEREAS, the Commission is authorized under Section 5(g) of P.D. No. 223, as amended, “[T]to determine, fix and collect the amount to be charged for examination, registration, registration without examination, licenses, annual registration fees, certifications, surcharges and other fees not specified under the provisions of Republic Act No. 465, as amended by Republic Act No. 6511 or amend the rates provided thereunder subject to the approval by the Office of the President.”

WHEREAS, the certificate to be issued to a person under Resolution No. 2000-653 is actually a certification which falls under the term “certifications” used in the above-cited provisions of Section 5(g) of the said Decree.

WHEREFORE, the Commission resolved as it hereby resolves to charge and collect from a person who desires to obtain a certificate attesting to the fact that he/she has passed the licensure examination of his/her profession the amount of Two Hundred Fifty (P250.00) Pesos inclusive of the cost of the material, printing and administrative expenses.

For the issuance of a duplicate or replacement certificate in lieu of an old, worn-out, mutilated, destroyed or lost certificate, the amount of One Hundred Fifty (P150.00) Pesos shall be collected.

In addition to the text of the certificate, the following shall be printed on the card “NON-TRANSFERABLE” and “HOLDER OF THIS CERTIFICATE IS NOT ALLOWED TO PRACTICE THE PROFESSION.”

This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines, whichever is earlier.
