[ PRC BOARD OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 19, SERIES OF 1995, September 19, 1995 ]

ADOPTION OF SYLLABUS FOR EACH SUBJECT IN THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS AND MASTER ELECTRICIANS LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS



WHEREAS, Section 10, Article II of R.A. No. 7920 otherwise known as the New Electrical Engineering Law provides “that all applicants for registration for the practice of electrical engineering in the Philippines shall be required to pass a technical examination”;

WHEREAS, Section 4 (c), Article II of the same law has empowered the Board of Electrical Engineering to prescribe the syllabus for each of the subjects with its relative weight in the licensure examinations;

WHEREAS, a syllabus which shall consist of topics and concepts under each subject in the licensure examinations is necessary to delineate the scope of the subjects within which the Board Members shall prepare the questions for inputting in the data bank and to guide the examinees in their preparation for the licensure examinations; and

WHEREAS, these syllabi were formulated in accordance with Section 19 (b) and (c), Article II of R.A. No. 7920 and after consultation with the academe, and the educational consultants, practitioners, leaders and experts of the electrical engineering profession and electrical industry through seminars and dialogues sponsored by the Integrated Electrical Engineering Association of the Philippines,

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board, pursuant to Section 4 (h), Article II of R.A. No. 7920, RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to adopt and promulgate a syllabus for each of the subjects in the Licensure Examinations for Electrical Engineers and Master Electricians, embodied in Annex “A”* appended hereto.

FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall, upon its approval by the Commission, become effective after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, whichever is earlier.

FINALLY RESOLVED that the Resolution be widely disseminated and circularized, through the IIEE, all technological and vocational schools, colleges and universities offering courses in electrical engineering and electrical trades, and all sectors concerned.
