[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 90-011, April 17, 1990 ]

SUBMISSION OF CERTIFIED COPIES OF CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION OF UNITS



Corollary to the requirement that units authorized under the certificates of public convenience issued by the Board shall be registered with the Land Transportation Office within thirty (30) days from receipt of the Board's decisions/orders, within fifteen (15) days from the registration of said units, the certified copies of the registration certificates shall be submitted to the Management Information Division of the Board, attaching to each certified copy a stencil of the unit's chassis and motor numbers, with a transmittal or covering letter indicating the date of registration of the units and their make, motor and chassis numbers.

The submission of certified copies of the registration certificates of units authorized by the Board shall apply to units authorized under substitution orders to replace units dropped from the service.

Aside from enabling the Board to monitor compliance by grantees of certificates of public convenience with the requirement to register the units authorized within thirty (30) days from receipt of its decisions/order, the submission of certified copies of the registration certificates of the said units will provide the Board with the necessary data to effectively supervise and regulate the land transportation industry.

Failure to comply with this requirement shall be penalized with suspension of the authority to operate granted under the certificates of public convenience issued, pending compliance with the requirement herein prescribed.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
