AMENDMENT BY ADDITION TO SECTION 30(E)



Please be informed that the Philracom Board in its meeting held on January 26, 2001 resolved to amend by addition Section 30(e) of the Horse Racing Rules and Regulations, to wit:
SECTION 30. CLUB VETERINARIAN        x          x          x          x

The owner and/or trainer shall be paged three (3) times before the public address system. Failure of any of them to respond to the call shall cause the implementation of the foregoing measures.
SECTION 30(e) WILL NOW READ AS FOLLOWS:

The owner and/or trainer shall be paged three (3) times before the public address system.  Should anyone of them fail to respond and appear before the Board of Stewards after its last call, the latter shall order the immediate destruction of the horse.

However, in case the owner/trainer timely contested the order of destruction, he shall sign a waiver absolving all concerned from any liability and shall bear full responsibility for said action.
The rule shall take effect fifteen days after publication.
