FURTHER AMENDMENTS OF DA-ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER (AO) NO. 6, SERIES OF 2002 RE THE REVISED GUIDELINES IN THE IMPORTATION OF PROCESSED DOG AND CAT PET FOODS



In view of the thrust of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to harmonize and standardize all procedures and documents being implemented and issued by all its regulatory agencies, DA Administrative Order No. 6, series of 2002 as amended by DA-AO No. 3, regarding the revised guidelines in the importation of processed dog and cat pet foods which exempts importers with accredited manufacturing plants from securing Import Permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) is hereby further amended such that
All pet food importers shall now be required to secure Import Permits from the BAI before they can import pet foods from other countries.
This Order shall take effect immediately and shall supersede all other issuances inconsistent thereof.
