CLASSIFICATION OF NICOCODINE AS DANGEROUS DRUG



Pursuant to the powers vested in the Dangerous Drugs Board under Section 36(a) of Republic Act No. 6425, as amended, and conformably with the Decision of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs at its 873rd meeting on 21 February 1979, to amend the list of preparations included in Schedule III annexed to the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, 1961, and of that Convention as amended by the 1972 Protocol, by including Nicocodine and inserting it after " Ethylmorphine" and before " Nicodicodine", NICOCODINE is hereby classified as a dangerous drug and further categorized as a prohibited drug.

This Regulation shall take effect immediately in accordance with Section 40, Article X, Republic Act No. 6425, as amended.
