ENDORSEMENT OF THE GENERAL OPERATOR CERTIFICATE OF RADIO OFFICERS WHO ARE NON-MARINE OFFICERS
WHEREAS, it has been noted, that there are still Radio Operators who are non-Marine Officers serving on board seagoing ships whose endorsement of their certificates issued by the National Telecommunications Commission are expiring and need to be extended.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate a body that shall be delegated the authority to continue endorsing or extending the validity of said endorsement.
WHEREAS, the Maritime Industry Authority has been performing this responsibility prior to the effectivity of MARINA Administrative Order No. 08, Series of 2000, which repealed Memorandum Circular Nos. 129, 120 and 151;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Maritime Training Council by the authority under Section 1 of Executive Order No. 242 dated 12 May 2000 resolve that:
The Maritime Industry Authority shall continue to endorse or extend the validity of the endorsement of the certificates of Radio Officers who are non-Marine Officers issued by the NATELCOM until 1 February 2001 or as authorized by the Council.
