REVOCATION OF LETTER CIRCULAR ON SHIPPING PERMIT



In line with the policy of the present administration to deregulate and minimize, if not totally eliminate red tape on government regulation, the NFA Council in its regular meeting held at the Food Development Center, FTI, Taguig, Metro Manila on October 13, 2000 approved and resolved in its Council Resolution No. 221-2K to revoke Letter Circular AO 99-09-001 dated September 9, 1999 entitled “Rule on Requirement for Shipping Permit to Transport Rice and/or Corn and/or their  By-Products by Water for Purposes of Monitoring the Stock Positions and Movements of Trade and to Forestall Illegal Trading Activities.”

Henceforth, Shipping Permit is no longer required.

This revocation takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
