AMENDMENT TO ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 46, S. 1988 RE: ORGANIZATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE NATIONAL DRUG POLICY



Administrative Order No. 46 series of 1988 dated June 07, 1988 is hereby amended to abolish the Advisory Committee for BFAD (ACB).  All personnel, including those under contract, shall directly report to the Bureau of Food and Drugs - Policy, Planning and Advocacy Division (PPAD). Accordingly, the ACB is ordered to immediately turn over all records and documents to the BFAD -PPAD.

Under this order, all functions of the ACB which are related to product regulation shall be assumed by the BFAD -Product Services Division (PSD) and shall be referred to PPAD whenever necessary. The PSD shall, likewise, receive all investigational drug and new drug applications and shall be forwarded to the PPAD for processing. Product classification determination shall, however, be the function of PPAD.

All other issuances contrary to the foregoing are hereby deemed amended.

This order shall take effect immediately.
