[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 35, April 27, 1992 ]

LIFTING OF TEMPORARY SUSPENSION IN DEPLOYMENT TO LIBYA



In consideration of alternative land and sea routes that continue to provide access to entry to and exit from Libya, the temporary suspension in the deployment of returning workers to Libya is now lifted in the following cases:

a. Returning workers with confirmed flight Manila-Malta provided that employer or agency guarantees the safe ferrying of such workers from Malta to Tripoli at their expense.

b. Returning workers with confirmed flight Manila-Cairo provided transit visa for Egypt is obtained prior to departure from Manila and that employer or agency guarantees the safe transport of such workers from Cairo to Libya at the former's expense.

This Circular takes effect immediately.
