[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 38, April 30, 1992 ]

LIFTING OF TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF DEPLOYMENT TO LIBYA



In consideration of the report and recommendations of the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, the availability of alternative land and sea routes the numerous requests from employers, agencies and workers, the temporary suspension of deployment to Libya for new hires and returning workers is hereby lifted provided that the workers are able to present the following:

a. Confirmed flight outbound Manila through transit points such as Malta, Cairo, Tunis and others;

b. Guarantee from employer or agency that the workers shall be safely and immediately transported or ferried from transit point to Libya at no cost to the worker.

This Circular takes effect immediately.
