[ BOC MEMORANDUM, May 12, 1999 ]
RELEASE OF IMPORTATION OF RICE AND SUGAR
Effective immediately all importations of rice and sugar whether dutiable or non-dutiable shall be subject to clearance from the Office of the Commissioner prior to release.
For the above purpose, the District Collector concerned shall immediately notify office Attn: Atty. Aaron Redubla, Tel. No. 5266355; 5274573; FAX No. 5271953, of any incoming information of rice and sugar as soon as he receives an information as to its arrival and shall secure clearance thereof from this office prior to release thereof. To expedite action on the clearance requirement, he may fax to this office the import entry as well as other pertinent import documents.
Failure to comply with this Order shall be dealt with accordingly.
