[ BFAD MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 24-B, November 29, 1989 ]
CONFISCATION OF SHENYUNG (GROWTH) BALLS
Cease and Desist Orders ( CDOs) were issued by this Office to stop the sale and distribution of Shenyung (Growth) Balls. Subject product is represented as a drug but the same is not registered with BFAD hence, its claims are not substantiated. Similarly, Cease and Desist Orders were also issued to stop the product’s advertisements, for the protection of the public.
The distribution and sale of Shenyung (Growth) Balls and its promotions/advertisements are continuing unabated in spite of said BFAD Orders.
To protect the consumers and for public interest, Food and Drug Inspectors are hereby directed to confiscate all stocks of said drug that maybe found in the market or any drug outlet.
Assistance from the police authorities may be sought for the strict compliance of this Circular.
