Understudy Training Program Standards For Fourteen Positions in The Textile And Garment Industry



Pursuant to Article 40 Book I of the Labor Code and Section 9 Rule XIV of the Omnibus Rules Implementing the Labor Code, the attached understudy training program standards for Filipino understudies of foreign expatriates employed for the following positions in the textile and garment industries are hereby approved for adoption and guidance for all concerned:

Production Manager

Garment Technician

Production Consultant
10.
Spinning Technician
 
3.
Textile Consultant
11.
Weaving Technician
 
4.
Garment Consultant
12.
Dyeing Technician
 
5.
Production Supervisor
13.
Pattern Designing Technician
 
6.
Maintenance Supervisor
14.
Quality Control Technician
 
7.
Sewing Supervisor


 
8.
Textile Technician


 

Establishments applying for Alien Employment Permit (AEP) in behalf of their alien employees who belong to the above occupational categories are required to adopt these standards.

The Regional Offices shall ensure the effective implementation of this Order through close supervision of the understudy training program.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
