[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2005-002, February 28, 2005 ]

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-030

After a series of dialogues with the taxi operators, the Board, having in mind the objective of the government to modernize public land transport vis-a-vis the economic viability for operators of acquiring units proposed for substitution, hereby amends the first sentence of Paragraph One of Memorandum Circular No. 2004-030 (Re: Substitution of Taxi and Mega Taxi Units), thus:

"In line with the objective of the government to modernize the public land transport and in the interest of public service, all units must at least be six (6) years old upon filing of Petition for Dropping and Substitution and must be of later model than the units being substituted."
