LATE FILING OF APPLICATION/PETITION FOR CONVERSION OF TOURIST TRANSPORT SERVICES



In view of the numerous requests by Tourist Transport Service operators to allow the late filing of Application/Petition for Conversion of existing Certificates of Public Convenience (CPC) to operate a Tourist Transport Service pursuant to Memorandum Circular No.2004-011 (Re: Reclassifying Tourist Transport Services), the Board hereby allows the acceptance and processing of the aforesaid Application/Petition, provided that the penalty of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php 2,500.00) per unit and other appropriate charges that may be assessed shall be paid.

All operators of Tourist Transport Services who have not yet applied for Conversion are given until 30 April 2005 to apply for Conversion; otherwise, their CPC shall be deemed cancelled and revoked.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No.11, dated 09 October 1992.
