CARGO HANDLING TARIFF RATE ADJUSTMENTS



Pursuant to PPA Board Resolution No. 1858 dated January 11, 2001, the cargo handling rates for domestic and foreign cargoes are hereby increased as follows:
Vessel Charge
(Stevedoring)

Cargo Charge
(Arrastre)
I. Containerized and Non-Containerized (Domestic)
10%
10%
II. Containerized and Non- Containerized (Foreign including MICT and SH)
15%
10%
Handling Fee
III. Ro-Ro Cargoes
10%
    Conditions:

  1. Rates for special, extra labor and other related cargo handling services in the tariff shall also be adjusted in accordance with the approved increases.

  2. The rate increase at South Harbor shall not be applicable to logs and lumber.

  3. The productivity rate on container operations at ATI and ICTSI shall not be less than 25 moves per ship-hour.  This shall be further improved by not less than 10% by 01 July 2001.
This Circular shall take effect on February 1, 2001 after publication at least once in two newspapers of general circulation.
