PERFORMANCE OF IMMUNOLOGY/SEROLOGY BY SECONDARY CLINICAL LABORATORIES
Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 59, s. 2001 - Rules and Regulations Governing the Establishment, Operation and Maintenance of Clinical Laboratories in the Philippines, the provision of immunology/serology services is not mandatory for Secondary Clinical Laboratories.
However, a Secondary Clinical Laboratory may be allowed to perform immunology/serology, provided that upon inspection of the concerned laboratory, the Regulatory Officer finds that it is capable of performing such examinations.
The capability to do immunology/serology shall be indicated in the License to Operate of the concerned Secondary Clinical Laboratory.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
