REVISED MONEY ORDER FEES AND USE OF P200.00 MONEY ORDER CARD FOR ISSUING AN ORDER FOR P200.00 OR LESS



In view of the increased costs of operations since the domestic money order fees were revised four years ago and in connection with the National Emergency Memorandum Order No. 23 of the President raising the maximum limits of money orders, the said fees are hereby revised as follows, effective at once:

The maximum limit for a domestic money order is P20 ,000.00 that can be issued in one day from the same remitter payable to the same payee.  Unless specifically authorized in writing by the Assistant Secretary for Postal Services, no postmaster shall issue more than P20 ,000.00 per remitter payable to the same payee in one day.

The fees for outgoing international money orders shall remain the same in the meantime.

Lowest Denomination - As a cost saving measure and for the convenience of the public and our postal employees, the new P200.00 denomination of money order shall be used for issuing an order for P200.00 or any amount below P200.00.  Administrative Order No. 90-12 dated May 11, 1990, authorizing the use of a P100.00 money order card for issuing any amount for P100.00 or less, is amended accordingly.

Previous orders in conflict herewith are revoked or amended accordingly.
