REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS



To update the rules governing the operation and administration of the Department, particularly with respect to the implementation of the provisions of Republic Act No. 7157, otherwise known as the Foreign Service Act of 1991, and other relevant laws, orders, circulars and issuances, there is hereby issued the Regulations of the Department of Foreign Affairs.*

Regulations shall replace the Foreign Service Code of 1983. All orders, circulars and rules inconsistent with the Regulations are hereby revoked.

The Regulations shall take effect on the 1st of May 1995.

Amendment of any provisions of the Regulations shall henceforth be made by Department Order, which shall refer specifically to the provisions to be revised and shall be inserted into the body of the Regulations.
