(NAR) VOL. 1 NO.3 / JANUARY - MARCH 1990

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 90-012-A, May 29, 1990 ]

REVOCATION OF MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 89-007

The scarcity then of units for taxi service prompted the Board to adopt Memorandum Circular No. 89-007 making it a matter of policy to authorize and accept applications for taxi service units that are more than ten (10) years old provided said units pass[ ed] the road-worthiness test of the proper government agency.  The Board has observed and has received reports that although adjudged road-worthy at the time of the application, their road-worthiness last[ ed] only for several months.  Likewise, it has been observed that the conditions for the issuance of the said Memorandum, as to the scarcity of units, no longer prevail today.

In view thereof, said Memorandum Circular No. 89-007 is hereby revoked; hence, effective immediately, only units that are less than ten (10) years old shall be eligible for acceptance for taxi service operation.

All memorandum circulars inconsistent with this Memorandum are likewise deemed revoked.
