UNDERTAKING BY JORDANIAN PLACEMENT AGENTS TO GUARANTEE PAYMENT OF SALARY TO FILIPINO HOUSEHOLD WORKERS ACCORDING TO THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
The Embassy of the Philippines in Amman, Jordan has noted the failure of some employers to pay the salaries of Filipino domestic helpers at the rate stipulated in the employment contracts.
In view thereof, all Jordanian placement agencies shall now be required to execute a formal undertaking to guarantee the payment of salary by employers in accordance with the provisions of the employment contract. This requirement shall be a prerequisite for authentication/verification of documents by the Embassy of the Philippines in Jordan.
This circular shall take effect immediately.
