(NAR) VOL. 18 NO. 1/JANUARY - MARCH 2007

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2007 - 03, January 08, 2007 ]

DEADLINE OF APPLICATION FOR CONVERSION TO P2P EXPRESS SERVICE PROGRAM

The Board noticed the low influx of Applications/Petitions for Conversion of Point to Point (P2P) Service Program as statistically compared to the number of qualified Applicants hence, it is hereby necessary to set a deadline for the acceptance of Applications/ Petitions on/or before June 30, 2007.

Accordingly, all applicants for approval of sale and transfers, motions, dropping and substitution and other pleadings relative to the conversion program shall be forwarded by the concerned officials and employees of the Board to the AUV Secretariat for consolidation of decisions, resolutions and orders.

Failure of the qualified Applicants to apply for conversion shall be construed as lack of interest to pursue the application and proof of non-financial capacity. Hence, in the interest of public service, the Certificate of Public Convenience of the operator shall only be valid and subsisting up to the expiration of its validity and the slot shall be allotted to new Applicants who are willing and ready to avail of the program.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.

SO ORDERED.
