AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-012 DATED APRIL 23, 2004 (RE: GUIDELINES GOVERNING SCHOOL TRANSPORT SERVICES RATIONALIZATION PROGRAM)



Item F.6 of Memorandum Circular No. 2004-012 dated April 23, 2004 provides that the units to be utilized as school transport service should not be more than fifteen (15) years old from the date of manufacture.

After consultation with school transport service operators and finding merit on their concerns, the Board hereby resolved to allow units which are more than fifteen (15) years old to still be utilized as school transport service. However aforesaid units shall be required to submit a Certificate of Roadworthiness from the LTO-Motor Vehicle Inspection Service and an Inspection Report from the representatives of the Board before the units could be confirmed for registration purposes and/or be authorized as school transport service.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation or in the Official Gazette.
