APPEAL ON HORSES FOUND TO BE SUFFERING FROM LAMENESS AFTER THE RACE



Please be informed that the Commission, after a dialogue and consultation with the officers of the Phil. Race Horse Trainers Association, Inc. (PRHTA), held on January 3, 2003, resolved that as an interim solution, after the race, horses found limping by the Club and PHILRACOM Veterinarians shall be automatically suspended in accordance with the Horse Racing Rules and Regulations and its jockey and/or groom shall sign the suspension slip. In case of dispute or contestion, they have to present a veterinary certificate from a Veterinarian accredited by PHILRACOM together with supporting documents (e.g. X-ray, diagnosis, treatment, Lab. Exam) before the lifting of the suspension.

This rules shall take effect immediately.
