QUOTA INCENTIVES AND SUBSIDY UNDER THE PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM



In line with the objectives of the Garment Industry Transformation Plan, and to ensure that GTEB policies continue to be in sync with the evolving business realities, Undersecretary Thomas G. Aquino, on 03 March 2003, by the authority given by the Board, approved the following quota and subsidy enhancement under the Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP):

Effective March 2003, a company that attains certification under the Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (W.R.A.P) and/or the Social Accountability 8000 (SA 8000) schemes shall be entitled to a quota incentive of 5000 dozens in the category(ies) firm selects.

Further, a subsidy of 50%, but not to exceed P75,000.00, on the cost of audit for W.R.A.P and/or cost of certification for SA 8000 can also be availed of.

Please note, however, that quota incentives under this program are subject to the availability of quantities in the category firm applied for.
