CHANGING THE NAME OF THE LTO FLYING SQUAD INTO LTO LAW ENFORCERS



Pursuant to RA 4136, EO 125 and 125-A which provided LTO the power to enforce the provisions of the Act, establish and prescribe the corresponding rules and regulations for the enforcement of laws governing land transportation, the LTO Flying Squad was created under the Field Enforcement Division of the Law Enforcement Service. The Flying Squad is the LTO’s arm for the enforcement of laws governing land transportation.

This Office desires to improve the services of our law enforcers to the public. In line with the desired improvement is the promotion of good image of our enforcers. LTO shall recreate the flying squad to make it more responsive to the needs of the public and to be of better support to the various programs of the government.

The LTO Flying Squad shall now be called LTO Law Enforcers. The change in the name is in line with the objective of improving the image of the LTO’s apprehending officers.

This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspapers of general circulation.
