MANDATORY EMISSION TEST
Due to the agreements made during the public hearing of 03 January 2003 and considering that the Private Emission Testing Centers (PETC) are not fully operational in some areas in the country, all LTO Regional Offices and District Offices are hereby ordered to temporarily suspend the enforcement of the above subject requirement in all regions except NCR, Region III and Region IV.
Further agreed was allowing an option to public transport vehicles (for hire) including for hire tricycles owners to submit vehicles at LTO testing facilities. However, procurement and deployment of subject equipment is yet to be completed. Hence, it is imperative for the LTO to temporarily shelve the requirement in regions outside NCR, Region III and IV until further notified.
