AMENDMENT TO GUIDELINES ON GTEB SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND ISO 9001: 2000 TRAINING UNDER THE PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
In line with the objectives of the Garment Industry Transformation Plan and to ensure that GTEB policies continue to be in sync with the evolving business realities, the Board, on 01 August 2003, approved Resolution No. 063, s. `03 as follows:

A. Amendment to guidelines on GTEB Scholarship Program, to wit:1. 75% subsidy on training cost for small and medium firms but not to exceed PhP4,000.00/pax.
2. 50% subsidy on training cost for big firms but not to exceed PhP2,500.00/pax.
3. 90% subsidy on training cost for workers employed by subcontractors. Further, the Values Orientation Seminar, which shall be given free, be made a pre-requisite for the renewal of accreditation of subcontractors.
This assistance shall be given to full-time subcontractors and shall not include those which are manufacturer-exporters accepting subcontracted work.
Subsidy given will be for structural training conducted by Philippine Trade Training Center and its accredited training institutions and will not include consultants that provide training.
B. Conduct of free follow-through seminars on ISO 9001:2000 i.e. Quality Management System (QMS) implementation, documentation and audit.
