POEA OVERSEAS EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE IN ALL EXIT POINTS/TRAVEL BAN ON OFW's TO SYRIA



Pursuant to the attached copy of the letter dated 10 April 2002 from the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs of the Department of Foreign Affairs and in furtherance of national interest, there shall be a No-Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Overseas Employment Certificate policy in all exit points. Thus, all departing OFW's shall be required to present a POEA Overseas Employment Certificate at the concerned immigration counter; otherwise, they shall not be cleared for departure.

Additionally, the travel ban on OFW's to Syria remains effective and is hereby reiterated.
