[ SRA CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 48, May 29, 1990 ]

SUGAR DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION FUND AS LIENS ON SUGAR QUEDANS



WHEREAS, on May 17, 1990, the National Federation of Sugarcane Planters (NFSP) requested issuance of a Sugar Order to extend the authority of the mill companies concerned to impose a lien of P4.50 per picul of sugar produced by its members from April 14, 1990 up to August 31, 1991;

WHEREAS, it is in the national interest that these voluntary contributions be levied on the sugar quedans of said planters;

NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1.       The mill company concerned is hereby authorized to impose and collect the sum of P4.50 per picul as liens on sugar quedans of the members of the following NFSP-affiliated associations, effective April 1, 1990 up to August 31, 1991:

a.       Bacolod -Murcia Planters Association, Inc. Bacolod City

b.       Association of Sugarcane Growers, Inc. BMMC Compound, Bacolod City

c.       United Cadiz Sugarcane Planters Association, Inc. Agmac Building, Mandalagan, Bacolod City

d.       Independent Sagay-Escalante Planters Association, Inc. Fabrica, Negros Occidental

e.       Northern Negros Planters Association, Inc. New Sagay, Negros Occidental

f.        Sagay-Escalante Planters Association Fabrica, Negros Occidental

g.       United Sagay, Escalante, Toboso Planters Association Central Lopez Compound, Sagay, Negros Occidental

h.       Danao Sugar Planters Association, Inc. Lizlop Building, Rizal St., Bacolod City

i.        San Carlos Planters Association, Inc. San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

j.        Binalbagan-Isabela Planters Association, Inc. Binalbagan, Negros Occidental

SECTION 2.       The mill company concerned shall remit its collection of aforesaid lien to the Sugar Development Foundation, Inc.

SECTION 3.       Any provision of sugar orders, circular letters, rules and regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Order are hereby amended, modified or revoked accordingly.
