LATE FILING OF RE-APPLICATION OF EXISTING CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE TO OPERATE A SCHOOL TRANSPORT SERVICE



Due to the numerous requests by School Transport Service operators to allow the late filing of Petition for Re-Application of existing Certificates of Public Convenience (CPC) to operate a School Transport Service pursuant to this Board's Memorandum Circular No. 2004-012 (Re: Rationalization of School Transport Service), the Board hereby allows the acceptance and processing of the aforesaid Petition, provided that the penalty of Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) per unit and other appropriate charges that may be assessed shall be paid.

All operators of School Transport Service who have not yet re-applied their CPC for the rationalization of School Transport Service are given until 03 December 2004 to comply with the provisions of MC 2004-012; otherwise, their CPC shall be considered cancelled and revoked.

All other issuances or parts hereof, which are inconsistent herewith, are therefore modified or superseded accordingly.

This Circular shall take effect immediately following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.
